Bartlett J. McCartin III is a Principal and Managing Partner at National Investment Services. He also serves on the board of directors and is a member of the executive committee. He is actively involved in marketing the firm’s capabilities to institutional investors. Bart’s primary focus is on leading the Taft-Hartley practice area.
Prior to joining NIS, Bart served as the first executive vice president of Aker, based in Oslo, Norway. He was responsible for a $2.1 billion construction and engineering group operating in the US, Canada, South America and EU. He led the acquisition integration of his previously held, multi-generational, family-owned business purchased by Aker at the end of 2005. Before joining Aker, Bart was the president and chief executive officer of The McCartin Group/McCartin Industrial Services Group, where he led the 96-year-old, third-generation industrial construction and engineering companies.
Bart holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Public Relations from Pepperdine University, and continued executive business education from London School of Economics and IMD Business School. Bart currently serves as Chairman Emeritus of the Corporate Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago. He also served as Chairman of the Corporate Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago from 2016 to 2020. Since 1995, he has been a third generation member of UA Local 597 in Chicago. Bart served as a reserve firefighter for 22 years, completing his dedicated service in 2017.
